It can be so disorienting. Storm tossed, wondering if your roots are strong enough to maintain, yet feeling incredibly exposed. Vulnerable. Mere existence can feel impossible, and a welcoming shelter hard to come by. The winds of grief can ravage. They have their way. And you just wait. You go through it. There’s no way around it and it is better that way. The storms, they’re doing something. It’s a work that needs to happen, though I’ve not yet wrapped my head around the reasons why. This image was created in the Mojave Desert of California.
